(*) some features, including merging videos and toggling subtitles require QuickTime 7. Snow Leopard users can install this tool for free from the Apple website or the Snow Leopard installation DVD.

New Features

  1. Dynamic Presets: save your metadata settings as reusable dynamic presets. VideoDrive will check online for updates when the preset is loaded.

  2. Automatic loading of Metadata Presets: VideoDrive determines when to load one of your presets. This is great when adding TV Show episodes over time. VideoDrive will automatically load the correct preset and include the metadata and artwork you want.

  3. New interface: new streamlined interface with more detailed progress bar and rearranged options for a better user experience.

  4. No more QuickTime 7: Snow Leopard users no longer need to install QuickTime 7 in order to use VideoDrive. Support for QuickTime 7 with its many pro features is still present. (*)

  5. Use local images as artwork: images with the same name as your video files, are automatically used as artwork.

  6. Improved online search results: better accuracy when browsing online for metadata thanks to Google fuzzy search.

  7. International metadata: support for 7 other languages

  8. iPad support: convert videos for iPad playback.

  9. HD artwork: better quality of artwork images

  10. Silent hot folders: queue videos without launching VideoDrive

(*) some features, including toggling subtitles, still require QuickTime 7 in version 2.0
